Welcome to the Twos!
In the twos room we work on separating from our parents, independent play, cleaning up, conforming to a predictable schedule, and self regulation among our many skills. Two year olds get lots of opportunities to explore toys, use their senses, sing and dance, create art, and interact with one another.
We support each child’s growth and development at his or her own pace and work to create an environment where children are valued as individuals.
Many two year olds are not yet ready for toilet training. Parents are asked to provide diapers/pull-ups and wipes and children are changed at school as needed. When parents feel their child is ready to begin using the toilet at school, the teacher should be notified so that consistency between home and school expectations regarding toilet training can be maintained.
